Solar panels - the first days

From laussy.org's Blog about Meteo.
Published: Not published.

Since yesterday, we have our solar panels running. Today (16 May (2025)) was the first day running full. This is how they performed.

Not entirely a meteo problem, but quite so as the dynamics of the PV tells us about illumination and, in particular, the passage of clouds!

With an energy of 60.98kWh ...

This corresponds to driving a Tesla Model 3 for 300 to 400km. In mechanical textbook-exercises style, this is the energy needed to lift 10 tons by slightly over than 2km, or from the nearby thermodynamic one, to raise the temperature from 20°C to 100°C of 655L of water (no boiling) and of 85L to steam (100°C boiling). This is also the energy released by a moderate lightning bolt.
