Perfect single-photon source

One finds the mention for "perfect single-photon" source (emission, antibunching, etc.) in many places, e.g., here:[1]

With Sana Khalid, we brought a concept behind what is otherwise only an asymptotic engineering ideal, and with Eduardo, we provided a simple mechanism to realize them.[2]

Our Zubizarreta Casalengua et al.[2] mechanism is simple conceptually but possibly too vague for experimentalists to include in this form. It basically consists in restructuring the memory kernel of the random event, by going through a cascade. This going down is uni-directional. A more explicit way to enforce this could be through topology and, in particular, Floquet physics.

Modulation can partition the field phase space into amplified and suppressed directions, with momentum-dependent gain.[[3],[4]]
